NVIDIA and Dassault Partner on Autonomous Factories

Dassault Systèmes’ DELMIA and Nvidia are partnering to advance software-defined manufacturing. The collaboration aims to create autonomous factories by using virtual twin technology and "physical AI" to simulate and optimize production processes before physical implementation.

- This long-term strategic partnership builds upon a collaboration of over 25 years between the two companies. - The core of the collaboration involves integrating NVIDIA's Omniverse, AI models like Nemotron, and CUDA-X libraries with Dassault's 3DEXPERIENCE platform to create what the companies call "Industry World Models." - These "world models" are designed to be physics-grounded and validated by scientific principles, distinguishing them from generative AI trained primarily on text and images. - In a reciprocal agreement, NVIDIA is adopting Dassault's model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools to design its own future AI factories, starting with the NVIDIA Rubin platform. - To address data privacy and sovereignty, Dassault's cloud brand, OUTSCALE, is deploying three "AI factories" powered by NVIDIA infrastructure on three different continents. - The partnership aims to create "Virtual Companions" within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which will act as AI assistants to help engineers with design, simulation, and complex problem-solving. - Early adopters of this technology include Bel Group for optimizing product formulations, OMRON for validating automation systems, and Lucid Motors.
