Diver finished 19th in the Tokyo Marathon with a time of 2:29:57. This marked her first marathon since the Paris 2024 games. In October, during her post-Paris comeback, she secured third place at the Nike Melbourne Festival Half-Marathon, clocking in at 1:10.56. The Tokyo Marathon took place on March 1st in Japan, which translates to February 28th for those in the Western Hemisphere. Brigid Kosgei from Kenya won the women's race with a time of 2:14:29. Tadesse Takele from Ethiopia won the men's race in 2:03:37, successfully defending his 2025 title. Diver's time of 2:21.34 in the 2022 Valencia Marathon was an Australian record until December 2025. Fellow Australian Jessica Stenson broke it with a time of 2:21:25. However, Diver still holds the record for the fastest marathon time by an Irish-born woman. Diver made her Olympic debut in Tokyo (Sapporo) in 2021, finishing 10th. This was the highest placement by an Australian woman in the event since 1988. She began her marathon journey in Melbourne 2014, running 2:34.15.
