(fiestapensacola.org) Food is the draw: Fiesta Pensacola says Cordova Crawfish Company will serve thousands of pounds of boiled crawfish brought in from Louisiana. The menu also includes boudin, jambalaya, étouffée, gumbo, po’boys, fried seafood, funnel cakes, and fried Oreos. (fiestapensacola.org) The music lineup runs all three days on the main stage in Fountain Park. Fiesta Pensacola lists Flow Tribe for Saturday night, and Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers and Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band for Sunday. (fiestapensacola.org) The event is one of Fiesta Pensacola’s annual signature festivals, part of a calendar the group says is meant to celebrate Pensacola’s heritage and promote tourism. Visit Pensacola also lists the crawfish festival among the city’s signature events. (fiestapensacola.org) (visitpensacola.com) Local coverage published Thursday said the festival returns this weekend as Pensacola moves deeper into its spring event season. That puts the crawfish festival in the middle of a crowded April calendar for downtown and beach visitors. (pnj.com 1) (pnj.com 2) By Sunday afternoon, the downtown parks will have hosted a full weekend of Cajun food, brass bands, zydeco, and one of Pensacola’s best-known spring festival crowds.
