RedCloud Deploys Agentic AI Layer at Scale
Global trade tech company RedCloud announced it has surpassed 100,000 customers and is now activating its agentic AI infrastructure across its network. The milestone is a significant proof point that agentic AI is moving beyond the conceptual stage and is being deployed at scale in complex commercial environments.
RedCloud's agentic AI layer is the next step in the evolution of its "Intelligent Open Commerce Platform," which has already processed over $6.91 billion in FMCG trade value. The company's mission is to digitize the trade of fast-moving consumer goods in emerging markets, a sector where over 90% of B2B trade has traditionally been conducted offline. This offline system creates massive inefficiencies in a global FMCG market worth over $14 trillion. The newly activated AI is designed to address a global "inventory gap" estimated at $2 trillion, which arises from fragmented supply chains and a lack of real-time visibility. For the 100,000+ retailers, wholesalers, and distributors on RedCloud's network, the agentic AI will autonomously help optimize inventory, manage working capital, and forecast demand. This moves beyond simple analytics, embedding intelligence directly into the transaction layer. This AI rollout, internally codenamed 'Genesis,' will introduce features like conversational trade, allowing users to place orders and manage inventory through voice and chat. Leveraging technology from NVIDIA and AWS, the platform's AI will provide visual recommendations and predictive analytics, aiming to reduce the time retailers spend on ordering by over 80%. For brands, the system offers micro-targeted advertising and dynamic pricing tools that can increase revenue by an estimated 15%. RedCloud's growth strategy is rooted in joint ventures and license agreements in key emerging markets, with operational hubs in Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye. The company reported $53.7 million in revenue for 2025, a 15% year-over-year increase, and has raised its 2026 revenue guidance to $120 million. A core component of the platform is its embedded finance offering, RedPay, which provides digital wallets and streamlines payments. RedCloud has partnered with major payment providers like Mercado Pago in Argentina, Shop2Shop in South Africa, and MoniePoint in Nigeria to facilitate secure digital transactions and offer credit, tackling the risks and costs associated with cash-heavy economies. CEO Justin Floyd has articulated a vision for making the trade of consumer goods as efficient as algorithmic trading on Wall Street. He emphasizes that in an environment of increasing geopolitical fragmentation and currency volatility, connected intelligence is no longer a luxury but a necessity for global trade.
