Warframe Hits Switch 2

Warframe will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on March 25, alongside the Shadowgrapher update, which adds a new Warframe, game mode, fresh cosmetics, and major clan improvements. The update also includes a Dead by Daylight-style mode according to early reports.

The upcoming launch of *Warframe* on the Nintendo Switch 2 marks the continuation of the game's presence on Nintendo consoles, which began with its release on the original Switch on November 20, 2018. The port for the first Switch was handled by Panic Button, known for their work on bringing demanding games to the platform. The new version promises a significant technical leap, targeting 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second in both handheld and docked modes, along with faster loading times and improved textures. The "Shadowgrapher" update introduces the 64th playable Warframe, Follie, an ink-themed character with a whimsical yet unsettling design. Follie's abilities include applying an "Inkblot" debuff that slows enemies, summoning a self-portrait to absorb damage, and lifting foes into the air with inky balloons. Her most notable skill, "Shadowgraph," allows players to paint various objects into existence from a sketchbook, ranging from explosive barrels to life support capsules. A new 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer mode called "Follie's Hunt" will debut, where a team of four players attempts to complete objectives while being hunted by a player-controlled Follie. The objectives involve finding and completing unfinished paintings within the Vesper Relay, with Follie's power increasing as more paintings are finished. This mode will feature randomized modifiers in each match to enhance replayability. Major improvements to the clan system are a key feature of the update. These enhancements include the ability to merge clans, clan-only matchmaking, weekly clan missions, and resource bonuses for playing with clanmates. Additionally, new cosmetic options for Mods called "Atragraphs" will be introduced, featuring alternate art with an animated frame. *Warframe* already supports cross-platform play and cross-save, and this functionality will extend to the Nintendo Switch 2 version, allowing for a unified account across various platforms. To celebrate the Switch 2 launch, players who log in between March 25 and April 15 will receive the Ambimanus Pack, which includes a Warfan weapon, weapon skin, a stance mod, and other in-game items. Following the update, a limited-time event, "Operation: Atramentum," will run from April 2 to April 23, offering new and returning cosmetic rewards.
