PartnerOne Deploys AI to Unlock Institutional Knowledge

PartnerOne company XYPRO has introduced Lionel, an internal AI assistant designed to organize and provide access to institutional knowledge. The tool is being deployed within the HPE Nonstop Compute ecosystem to help surface internal data and expertise.

- PartnerOne acquired XYPRO in May 2025, adding a company with over 40 years of experience in cybersecurity for high-risk, mission-critical systems. This acquisition is part of PartnerOne's broader strategy of acquiring and growing enterprise software companies that serve the world's largest organizations. - The "Lionel" AI assistant was developed to address the significant challenge of "institutional knowledge" drain within the HPE Nonstop ecosystem. This environment has limited publicly available information, and expertise is often siloed within decades of technical manuals, internal support tickets, and the minds of specialized experts. - The HPE Nonstop Compute ecosystem is designed for extreme fault tolerance and is used in industries like finance and manufacturing where system downtime is not an option, sometimes requiring 99.999% uptime. The complexity and criticality of these systems make rapid access to accurate information essential. - Measurable benefits of the Lionel AI assistant already include a reduction in the time needed to resolve complex security and compliance support issues. It has also increased engineering efficiency by cutting down the time spent searching through dense technical documentation. - Prior to the acquisition, XYPRO already had a multi-decade partnership with HPE, with some of its security solutions shipping directly with the HPE Nonstop operating system. This established relationship provides a deep understanding of the ecosystem in which Lionel operates. - The development of Lionel is a key part of PartnerOne's "applied artificial intelligence strategy," which focuses on using AI to solve specific, practical operational challenges rather than developing generalized AI tools. - The problem Lionel solves is a common one in enterprise knowledge management: information is not only siloed but also exists in multiple formats, making it difficult to access and utilize efficiently. AI assistants are increasingly being used to create a unified, conversational interface to overcome this fragmentation. - The acquisition of XYPRO by PartnerOne was intended to provide XYPRO with the resources to accelerate innovation and expand its global reach while maintaining its focus on its core customer base in mission-critical environments.
