Fashion D2C Brand MyDesignation Raises ₹40 Crore

D2C fashion brand MyDesignation has raised ₹40 crore ($4.8M) in a Series A funding round led by RPSG Capital Ventures and Veltis Capital. The company plans to use the capital for omnichannel expansion, with a focus on using pop-up events and offline trials as acquisition channels in Tier 2 and 3 cities.

- The Kerala-based brand was founded in 2020 by husband-wife duo Swaroop Krishnan and Gopika B Raj and had previously secured $1.25 million in a seed funding round in February 2025. - Lead investor RPSG Capital Ventures is an early-stage consumer VC fund focusing on the D2C ecosystem, with a portfolio that includes other digital-first brands like The Souled Store and Supertails. - This funding will expand an existing physical footprint of five company-owned stores in cities including Bangalore, Kochi, Trivandrum, and Calicut. - The company plans to open eight new stores over the next year in markets such as Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru while also strengthening leadership in finance, supply chain, and marketing. - MyDesignation operates on a digital-first model without selling on third-party marketplaces, focusing on culturally inspired streetwear with 90% unique designs, which has resulted in a product return rate below 5%. - Since its inception, the brand reports it has achieved approximately 100% year-on-year revenue growth and has served nearly 1 million customers, noting high repeat purchase rates.
