Infrastructure Funding Boosts Montana Counties

Congressman Zinke secured federal infrastructure funding for Flathead, Sanders, and Lincoln counties in Montana.

The funding totals over $14.3 million and is designated for infrastructure, transportation, and public safety projects. These funds are part of the $35 million secured in fiscal year 2026 through the appropriations process. Specifically, $1 million is allocated for guardrail installation along North Fork Road in Flathead County, coordinated with the Flathead County Roads Department's repaving plans. Sanders County will receive $965,000 for law enforcement equipment and vehicle upgrades, plus $1.15 million to repave Marten Creek Road. A significant $10 million is earmarked for Phase 1 of the Noxon Bridge replacement in Sanders County. The bridge, which is over 100 years old, is a crucial link for the community of Noxon. Congressman Zinke emphasized the importance of upgrading aging infrastructure in overlooked states like Montana.
