Gnaughty Gnomes PvP Launches Monday
Chaotic multiplayer PvP party game "Gnaughty Gnomes" releases March 3 with fast-paced matches, 5,000+ customizations, and mid-match weapon pickups. The game blends strategy with spontaneous fun in what developers describe as intense multiplayer combat.
The upcoming title is from SandCastles Studio, a Barcelona-based indie developer founded by three friends. The studio is known for its previous successful game, "Bread & Fred." Development for Gnaughty Gnomes has been in progress for a year and a half. The game draws inspiration from other chaotic multiplayer titles such as "Rounds," "Boomerang Fu," and "Party Animals." In addition to the classic free-for-all versus mode, the full game will launch with a team-based mode and a "Prop Hunt" or "Hide & Seek" mode. These can be played in standard matches, quick play, or a fully customizable mode allowing players to set their own rules. A free demo has been available on Steam since May 2025, offering a slice of the full experience with 45 of the final 125 upgrade cards and 10 of the 25 maps. The final version will also expand from 3 emotes to 6 for taunting opponents. The game supports both online and local split-screen PvP, as well as Steam's "Remote Play Together" feature. It is designed for 1-4 players. To build anticipation for its launch, Gnaughty Gnomes participated in Steam's "PvP Fest 2026" event in February.
