New Cocktail Hideaway Opens in West Loop
Caché 310, an intimate cocktail lounge, has opened in Chicago's West Loop. The venue is designed to offer a refined and discreet luxury experience, catering to an elite clientele and signaling a trend of high-end nightlife expanding beyond the downtown core.
- The lounge is operated by Spearhead Hospitality, the same group behind The Robey Hotel in Wicker Park. It is located at 310 S. Canal St. in the BMO Tower, adjacent to its sister restaurant, Canal Street Eatery & Market. - The space was formerly known as Afterbar, which closed in December for a remodel to transform it into Caché 310 with a new, moody design inspired by 1920s Paris. - The beverage menu features creative takes on classic cocktails, such as a "leche martini" served in a teacup and a French press martini. The small plates menu includes upscale offerings like tinned fish with fresh bread, and potato chips with crème fraîche and caviar. - With an intimate interior that seats about 50, the venue is designed to be a quieter alternative to other West Loop spots, targeting pre-dinner or post-show clientele. In the summer, a patio that opens onto a one-acre park will double the capacity. - For private events, the indoor bar can accommodate up to 65 guests for a full buyout, with a food and beverage minimum of $6,000 and a $2,000 rental fee. Semi-private events for up to 30 guests have a $2,000 food and beverage minimum. - The venue's name, "Caché," is French for "hidden," reflecting its discreet, elevated location off the street that is not visible from street level. The General Manager is Landis Beverly.
