New Apps Launch for Neurodivergent Users

Several new apps designed for neurodivergent individuals have recently been promoted. The NoPlex app features tools to reduce overwhelm, such as a focus view and guilt-free task carryover. Meanwhile, Caffeine AI showcased a suite of ADHD-aligned apps including BrainSnacks for gamified lessons and Atomic, an AI habit coach.

The market for mental health apps catering to neurodiverse individuals was valued at $1.15 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to $3.66 billion by 2032. This growth is driven by a rising number of adults with ADHD diagnoses and an increased demand for digital tools that support executive functions like task management and focus. The COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated this trend, as remote work and learning highlighted the need for accessible support systems. NoPlex, founded by developer Matt Canning, was inspired by his daughter's experience with ADHD. The app is designed to manage "chaos" by separating the planning of tasks from their execution, aiming to reduce the cognitive load for users with ADHD and anxiety. Its "Horizon" view shows only the tasks for the current day, preventing users from feeling overwhelmed by a large to-do list. A key feature of NoPlex is its approach to missed deadlines, which are designed to mitigate rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), an intense emotional response to perceived criticism or rejection common in individuals with ADHD. Instead of flagging tasks as failed, the app simply carries them over to the next day. Some users, however, have found the app's multiple layers for organizing tasks to be complex and add to their cognitive load rather than reducing it. Caffeine AI is a platform that allows users to create their own applications using natural language, without needing to code. This "self-writing" app system is built on the Internet Computer blockchain, which provides decentralization and security. The platform is intended to democratize app development, enabling non-programmers to build and launch their own tools. The suite of apps from Caffeine AI, including BrainSnacks and Atomic, aligns with the trend of gamification and AI in neurodivergent support. Gamified cognitive training apps are particularly popular for school-aged children, while AI-powered tools can help break down large tasks into smaller, more manageable steps. However, some early users of the Caffeine AI platform have noted that creating complex, unique apps still presents a learning curve. The broader market for neurodivergent productivity tools was estimated at $283.68 million in 2025 and is expected to reach $914.43 million by 2032. This includes a wide range of assistive technologies, from digital calendars and note-taking apps to more specialized software for mind mapping and time management. The integration of AI and machine learning is a significant trend, with the promise of more personalized and adaptive support.
