Thom Browne and Asics Launch Sneaker Collab
The anticipated sneaker collaboration between Thom Browne and Asics has officially launched at Selfridges' Corner Shop in London. The partnership merges Thom Browne's signature tailoring aesthetic with Asics' performance footwear, marking a key release for stylists tracking luxury-sportswear crossovers.
This collaboration marks Thom Browne's first-ever sneaker partnership, a significant move for a brand renowned for its formal brogues and patent-leather Oxfords. The collection reimagines the Asics GEL-Kayano 14, a performance running shoe first released in 2008 that has since become a popular lifestyle "dad" sneaker favored by celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Kaia Gerber. The design merges Browne's signature aesthetic with the sneaker's technical silhouette, featuring the designer's classic grey, black, and white color palette in premium materials like suede and leather. Browne's iconic red, white, and blue grosgrain ribbon is integrated as a pull tab on the heel and accents the tongue, a first for an Asics sneaker. The collaboration debuted during Thom Browne's Fall 2026 runway show, held at the GQ Bowl during Super Bowl weekend in San Francisco. The sneakers are priced at $450 and were released globally on March 2 through Thom Browne's website, stores, and select retailers. The initial grey colorway sold out quickly and has already appeared on resale sites like StockX for over double the retail price. This partnership is the latest in a series of successful high-fashion collaborations for Asics, which has previously teamed up with brands like Kiko Kostadinov, Cecilie Bahnsen, Vivienne Westwood, and Comme des Garçons. The Japanese sportswear company is known for giving creative partners the space to infuse its technical footwear with high-concept design.
