Omai Gold Mines said on September 1 that it had reported assay results from 11 additional diamond drill holes at the Wenot deposit on its 100%-owned Omai Gold Project in Guyana. The company said every hole hit multiple gold zones in the latest batch from its ongoing 50,000-metre drill program. (omaigoldmines.com) The strongest interval came from hole 26ODD-193 in central Wenot, which returned 5.12 grams per tonne gold over 40.5 metres. A second wide interval, from hole 26ODD-197W, returned 2.68 grams per tonne over 40.7 metres. ### Which holes stood out in the latest release? Hole 26ODD-193 was the headline result, with 5.12 g/t gold over 40.5 metres, including 11.29 g/t over 10.4 metres and 18.35 g/t over 4.5 metres, according to Omai’s release. (omaigoldmines.com) The same hole also returned 1.37 g/t over 26.0 metres and 1.48 g/t over 14.0 metres. Hole 26ODD-197W returned 2.68 g/t gold over 40.7 metres, including 3.81 g/t over 15.7 metres and 7.20 g/t over 4.9 metres. Other reported intervals included 11.16 g/t over 3.7 metres in hole 26ODD-192, 5.32 g/t over 6.0 metres in hole 26ODD-198 and 3.78 g/t over 9.7 metres in hole 26ODD-199. (omaigoldmines.com) ### Where in Wenot were those intersections found? Central Wenot was the location of hole 26ODD-193, which Omai said cut 11 discrete gold zones within the Dike Corridor. The company said that interval sits at a vertical depth of about 260 to 290 metres. (omaigoldmines.com) Omai said the Wenot open pit deposit in its preliminary economic assessment used an economic cut-off grade of 0.3 g/t gold, and said the latest intersections were significant against that benchmark. Resource World, citing the company’s release, said the new results followed a recently published preliminary economic assessment that incorporated the Wenot open pit and adjacent Gilt underground deposit. (omaigoldmines.com) ### How far along is the 2026 drill campaign? Omai said 74 holes totaling 35,149 metres had been completed so far this year. The company said five rigs remain active at the project. (omaigoldmines.com) The broader campaign was announced as a 50,000-metre program, and the Sept. 1 release covered holes 188 through 199. Omai’s news archive shows earlier 2026 updates from the same program on February 25, March 26, May 12, June 1 and June 24, alongside an Aug. 19 preliminary economic assessment. ### How does this connect to the project’s larger mine plan? (omaigoldmines.com) Resource World reported on September 2 that Omai’s preliminary economic assessment outlined average annual production of 351,488 ounces over an 18-year mine life, with peak annual production of 435,667 ounces. The publication said the plan combined the Wenot open pit deposit and the Gilt underground deposit, with estimated payable gold production of 6.32 million ounces. The same report said Omai estimated initial capital at $1.43 billion and growth capital at $928 million over the mine life. Resource World also said Omai described the new Wenot results as supporting expansion of the open pit deposit and helping delineate wider zones in the Dike Corridor. (omaigoldmines.com) ### What comes next from here? Hole 26ODD-208 has already been completed to a downhole depth of 1,438 metres to test the depth potential of the Gilt deposit, Omai said. The company said samples from the upper part of that hole have been submitted for assay, and selected whole-core samples are being prepared for metallurgical testing. (resourceworld.com) Omai said the latest Wenot results will contribute to its next resource update, which Resource World said is planned for completion before the end of 2026. Omai shares were down 2.8% at C$2.58 on September 2, according to Resource World. (omaigoldmines.com) (resourceworld.com)
