Battle Beast Debuts New Singer

Finnish metal band Battle Beast made their first live appearance with new lead singer Marina La Torraca, marking a pivotal moment for the group. This performance signals a new era for the band as they evolve their sound and stage presence with La Torraca at the helm.

The departure of former vocalist Noora Louhimo, who fronted Battle Beast for 13 years and six studio albums, was announced in December 2025. The split was described as mutual, with Louhimo choosing to focus on her solo career, a path she felt was difficult to pursue with the demanding schedule of Battle Beast. New vocalist Marina La Torraca is a Brazilian-born singer known for her work with the modern metal band Phantom Elite and the symphonic metal project Exit Eden. She also has a background in musical theatre, having studied in New York and performed in various productions across Europe. La Torraca's live debut with Battle Beast took place on March 6, 2026, at the WWWX venue in Tokyo, Japan. The setlist for this inaugural performance included a mix of the band's established songs such as "Straight to the Heart," "No More Hollywood Endings," and "King for a Day." The band is currently on a tour through Japan, Australia, and China, which marks their first-ever performances on the Australian continent. The tour is in support of their latest album, "Steelbound," which was released in October 2025 and features Noora Louhimo on vocals. While there are no immediate announcements of a new album with La Torraca, the band has confirmed they are actively writing new material. Bassist Eero Sipilä has stated they intend to create new music with their new singer as soon as possible and are already adjusting musical keys to suit her vocal range.
