Oxford International Expands Berlin Presence

The collaboration aims to support the university's international growth and expand its English-taught study programs. - The partnership will support nine undergraduate and postgraduate programs in architecture, design, and business, with the first student intake scheduled for October 2026. - Whitecliffe University in Berlin, also known as Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, already has a significant global footprint, with international students from 93 countries comprising 70% of its student body. - This collaboration is part of a larger trend that has seen Germany's international student population grow to a record high of nearly 380,000 in the 2023-2024 winter semester. - Berlin is the third-most popular German state for foreign students, hosting approximately 40,800 international students who make up about 25% of the city's total student population. - The largest group of international students in Germany comes from India, with around 49,000 students, followed by China with approximately 38,700. - Oxford International Education Group, led by CEO Lil Bremermann-Richard, supports nearly 80,000 students annually through its global academic partnerships. - Whitecliffe is a New Zealand-based institution holding a Category 1 rating from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), the highest possible accreditation for an educational provider in the country.
