Annual 'Pigs & Pinot' Event Returns

Chef Charlie Palmer's annual Pigs & Pinot festival is returning to Healdsburg. The popular wine country event pairs top regional Pinot Noirs with a wide array of pork dishes from celebrated chefs.

For its 19th year, the event is moving to a new venue, Appellation Healdsburg, a culinary-focused resort that is Charlie Palmer's new flagship project. This marks a significant change after two decades at the Hotel Healdsburg and Dry Creek Kitchen. The new resort, co-founded by Palmer, is set on eight and a half acres and includes two signature restaurants, a spa, and 108 guest rooms. This year's festival will uniquely feature celebrated father-and-son chef pairings, including Emeril and E.J. Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck and his son Byron Lazaroff-Puck, and Jean-Georges and Cédric Vongerichten. The gala will also spotlight an entirely female roster of prominent winemakers. The weekend is more than just a culinary event; it's a significant philanthropic endeavor. Since its inception, Pigs & Pinot has raised over $2 million for various charities. Proceeds now benefit the Palmer Family Education Foundation, which supports scholarships for students at The Culinary Institute of America and Sonoma State University's Wine Business Program, among other local arts and education initiatives. Attendance to this exclusive event comes at a premium, with weekend packages for two ranging from $3,500 to $7,500. These packages include accommodations at Appellation Healdsburg, tickets to the "Taste of Pigs & Pinot" kickoff event, access to seminars, and for higher-end packages, a seat at the coveted Gala Dinner. Individual tickets for some of the weekend's events, like the seminars and gala, are not sold separately and are reserved for package guests.
