T.I. Hits Top 40 Again
T.I.'s "LET EM KNOW" re-entered the Billboard Hot 100's top 40 this week. In a Billboard interview, T.I. called the success "surreal" and hinted at a possible 'ATL' movie sequel in the works. His son Domani revealed he dropped a 50 Cent diss track without his father's knowledge, responding to 50's insults toward T.I.'s wife Tiny.
The success of "LET EM KNOW" marks T.I.'s highest-charting solo single in over a decade, surging to the top of the urban radio charts and breaking into the Billboard Hot 100's top 40. The Pharrell-produced track has also seen significant digital sales, reaching No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Hip-Hop sales chart. The song's rise has been amplified by a bitter public feud between T.I.'s family and rapper 50 Cent. The dispute reignited in early 2026 after T.I. claimed on a podcast that 50 Cent had avoided a proposed Verzuz battle. In response, 50 Cent posted what was described as an unflattering picture of T.I.'s wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, on social media. This prompted T.I.'s sons, King and Domani Harris, to release diss tracks aimed at 50 Cent in defense of their mother. Domani's track, in particular, gained attention for its direct and personal lyrics aimed at 50 Cent. While T.I. expressed pride in his sons for defending their family, he also stated in an interview that he felt his son King went too far by wearing a t-shirt with an image of 50 Cent's late mother. The renewed spotlight on T.I. comes as anticipation builds for a sequel to his 2006 film 'ATL'. Director Chris Robinson and the original cast, including T.I., Lauren London, and Jason Weaver, have been confirmed to return for 'ATL 2: The Homecoming'. A teaser trailer for the sequel was released back in 2021, and while a specific release date has not yet been announced, the project has been in development for several years, with T.I. first confirming it was in the works as early as 2015. The original film was a coming-of-age story loosely based on the experiences of producers Dallas Austin and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins in Atlanta.
