Singapore Airlines is expanding its Airbus A380 flying for the Northern Summer 2026 season, with Dubai joining the superjumbo network from March 29. (singaporeair.com) The airline said on January 28 that it will adjust flight frequencies and add passenger capacity across its network for the March 29 to October 24, 2026 season. It said the A380 will serve Singapore-Dubai for the first time throughout that full summer period. (singaporeair.com 1) (singaporeair.com 2) Independent schedule tracking indicates Singapore Airlines is using the A380 on up to eight routes during the season: London, Frankfurt, Sydney, Melbourne, Delhi, Mumbai, Shanghai and Dubai. The same tracking says four of those cities — London, Frankfurt, Sydney and Melbourne — keep at least one daily A380 service for the full season. (mainlymiles.com 1) (mainlymiles.com 2) That matters because the A380 is Singapore Airlines’ highest-capacity aircraft and the only one in its fleet with Suites on selected routes. The carrier said Dubai was picked for A380 service in response to strong demand for premium cabins. (singaporeair.com) The summer plan is broader than the A380 alone. Singapore Airlines said Bangkok will rise to seven daily flights from March 29, Yangon to 10 weekly from March 31, Surabaya to 21 weekly from March 29, and Colombo from 10 weekly to 14 weekly from May 1. (singaporeair.com) The A380 network is not static across the season. Schedule tracking shows Shanghai regains A380 service from May 2026, while Delhi and Mumbai keep the aircraft for most of the season with shorter breaks at different points. (mainlymiles.com) (aeroroutes.com) Melbourne was also restored to A380 service for the full Northern Summer 2026 period after earlier Dubai-related fleet changes. Mainly Miles reported the aircraft will operate on SQ237 and SQ228 between March 29 and October 24, replacing the Boeing 777-300ER on those flights. (mainlymiles.com) Singapore Airlines said tickets for the updated schedule will be released progressively through its sales channels, and it cautioned that aircraft deployment can still change for operational reasons. For now, the A380 is back at the center of the airline’s long-haul summer plan. (singaporeair.com)
