Luminous Acquired for TV Adaptation
The cyberpunk novel *Luminous* (2025) has been acquired for TV, joining *The Expanse* and *Silo* as properties to watch.
The TV rights were snapped up by Perpetual Content, a smaller streamer looking to make a splash in the sci-fi market. They hope *Luminous* can give them a foothold alongside competitors like Apple and Amazon. Showrunner Elena Suarez, known for her work on * ঢাকার স্বপ্নগুলো* ("Dhaka Dreams"), has signed on to adapt the novel. Suarez is a Hugo Award winner, celebrated for her nuanced character work in futuristic settings. Author Jasper Tang is reportedly involved in the writing process. Tang has publicly expressed enthusiasm for Suarez's vision, calling her the perfect choice to bring *Luminous* to the screen.
