The Ravens backed out of the Maxx Crosby trade due to concerns about his physical after he underwent knee surgery. The Raiders announced the news, stating the Ravens "backed out" of the agreement. Crosby was set to earn a $30 million base salary in 2026 with a cap hit exceeding $35 million. The Raiders were initially slated to receive two first-round picks from the Ravens in exchange for Crosby. Despite the failed trade, Crosby is reportedly feeling good and has returned to the Raiders' facility to continue his rehab. He is still under contract with the Raiders through 2029. The Raiders have already spent money in free agency in anticipation of Crosby's cap number being off the books, including signing former Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum. The team will need to adjust their plans with Crosby's $35 million cap hit back on the books.
