Seth Rollins Stomps Paul Heyman

Seth Rollins delivered a high-profile stomp to Paul Heyman on last night's WWE Raw, while Penta El Zero Miedo captured the Intercontinental Championship. The title change came after Dominik Mysterio was 'cursed' by Danhausen ahead of his match, allowing Penta to capitalize.

The attack on Paul Heyman was a direct response to a promo at the start of Raw, where Heyman, alongside Austin Theory and Logan Paul, verbally berated Seth Rollins. Heyman claimed Rollins stole the credit for founding The Vision and wasn't worthy of main-eventing WrestleMania 42. This prompted Rollins, who was not medically cleared to compete, to orchestrate a ruse involving multiple masked men to isolate Heyman. Rollins' assault was a callback to his own history, using a steel chair to attack Heyman from behind before delivering a Stomp, reminiscent of his betrayal of The Shield. The aftermath saw Heyman stretchered into an ambulance, only for the driver to be revealed as LA Knight, who then drove off with the injured manager. This attack escalates the feud between Rollins and The Bloodline's sphere of influence. The animosity between Rollins and Roman Reigns, Heyman's longtime client, dates back to the breakup of The Shield in 2014. Over nine singles matches between 2014 and 2022, their rivalry has been a defining narrative for this WWE era, with Rollins often securing pivotal victories at key moments in their intertwined careers. Penta El Zero Miedo's Intercontinental Championship victory is a historic moment, making him the first-ever Mexican-born wrestler to hold the title. The win marks his first championship since joining WWE, a goal he achieved after five previous attempts at the title. The title change was precipitated by the WWE Raw debut of wrestler Danhausen, who placed a "curse" on Dominik Mysterio backstage after a confrontation. During the championship match, this storyline played out as dissension within Mysterio's faction, The Judgment Day, directly led to his loss. Tension between Dominik Mysterio and fellow Judgment Day member Finn Bálor was the immediate cause of the title loss. When Mysterio tried to use a ring bell hammer, Bálor intervened, insisting Mysterio win on his own. This interference allowed Penta to hit his finisher and secure the victory, bringing the championship to a new home.
