Lil Uzi Teases New Album

Lil Uzi Vert confirmed that a new album is coming later this year and clarified that recent singles were not "real drops." Uzi also co-signed up-and-coming rapper 2slimey, teasing that the upcoming full-length project will be a major release.

This forthcoming album follows a period of high activity and shifting plans for the Philadelphia rapper. After releasing *Pink Tape* in June 2023, Uzi teased a new project titled *Luv Is Rage 3* and even suggested it might be their final album. However, that project was later scrapped, adding to a history of anticipated but unreleased projects like *Barter 16*. The new music will also be the first full-length project since the November 2024 release of *Eternal Atake 2*. That album received a mixed response from fans and sold 59,000 units in its first week, a significant drop from the 167,000 first-week units of its predecessor, *Pink Tape*. In late 2025, Uzi released a string of singles including "What You Saying," "Relevant," "Regular," and "Chanel Boy." The releases signaled a potential new creative direction and were accompanied by speculation that a surprise album could drop around March 2026, possibly with a fashion-related aesthetic. The co-sign of 2slimey comes from a March 2026 interview with Dazed magazine, where Uzi was reportedly blasting the rapper's album *High Anxiety*. In the interview, Uzi stated, "2slimey took the end of 2025. I can't even think about nobody else." 2slimey, an artist from Oklahoma, is known for an experimental and abrasive sound characterized by distorted bass and unconventional mixing. He first gained viral attention in early 2024 with the track "shrimp" before releasing his debut mixtape *SsoMe* in November 2024 and the album *High Anxiety* in 2025.
