NVIDIA and AI Grants India to Support 500 Startups

- The initiative will onboard the startups into NVIDIA's Inception program, a global network of over 19,000 tech companies, which provides access to developer tools, technical training, and preferred pricing on NVIDIA hardware and software. - AI Grants India (AIGI) is a non-profit organization co-founded by Bhasker (Bosky) Kode and Vaibhav Domkundwar to provide builders, developers, and students with free access to powerful AI model APIs. - In less than nine months of operation, AIGI has already supported over 1,500 individual builders and more than 100 idea-stage AI startups. - The collaboration's goal extends beyond the 500 startups, aiming to reach and engage with over 10,000 early-stage founders within the next year through various enablement programs. - This partnership aligns with the broader "IndiaAI Mission," a government initiative with a budget of over $1 billion aimed at strengthening the country's AI infrastructure and supporting startups. - India's AI market was estimated at $7.8 billion in 2024, with more than 6,200 AI startups in the country. - Beyond this grant, NVIDIA is also collaborating with venture capital firms like Peak XV, Z47, and Accel India to identify and fund promising AI startups. - Participants in the NVIDIA Inception program can receive benefits such as cloud credits, co-marketing support, and opportunities to connect with NVIDIA's extensive network of venture capital firms.
