Robo.ai Secures Major Embodied AI Data Order

Startup Robo.ai has secured a major contract for 'embodied AI' data. The order highlights the growing importance of large, high-quality datasets for training the next generation of robots and AI systems capable of physical interaction. Such data is critical for fueling advances in robotics training and simulation.

- The order was placed by U.S.-based DaBoss.AI Inc. and consists of 30,000 hours of robot training data to be delivered over a 12-month period. - The dataset is designed for training Level 4 and above Embodied AI models, indicating a focus on highly autonomous systems. - The data is multi-modal, including RGB-D vision, 6-DoF motion trajectories, and force/tactile feedback, which provides rich sensory and interaction information for training. - This deal is the first major commercialization of Robo.ai's "Embodied AI Data Port" strategy, which was launched through a joint venture based in Dubai. - Aiden Zhu, the co-founder and U.S. CEO of DaBoss.AI, noted that this model transitions data acquisition from "heavy-asset operations" to a more flexible "elastic cloud service" model. - The revenue from this contract will be consolidated into Robo.ai's fiscal year 2026 financial statements.
