March Madness: Lehigh Returns!

Lehigh punched their ticket to March Madness for the first time since 2012 [https://x.com/i/status/2031903404864290846, https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7097219/2026/03/11/march-madness-2026-mens-ncaa-tournament-auto-bid-tracker/], reviving memories of their past upset run.

In 2012, as a 15-seed, Lehigh upset 2nd-seeded Duke 75-70, one of the more memorable upsets in recent tournament history. C.J. McCollum, who would later become an NBA player, scored 30 points in the victory. Lehigh's automatic bid this year comes after they defeated Boston University 72-64 in the Patriot League championship game. Keith Higgins Jr. led the Mountain Hawks with 20 points. This year's team hopes to recreate some of that March magic from 2012. Given their seeding, another deep run would be considered a major upset.
