As the reigning Champions League title holders, Paris Saint-Germain's journey to defend their crown continues as they advance to the round of 16. Their progression marks the 14th consecutive season they have reached this stage of the competition. PSG secured their spot with a 5-4 aggregate victory over fellow Ligue 1 side AS Monaco. The second leg, held at PSG's Parc des Princes, ended in a 2-2 draw, which was enough to see them through following their 3-2 win in the first leg. A pivotal moment in the second leg came in the 58th minute when Monaco's Mamadou Coulibaly received a red card. In a dramatic comeback, Atalanta overturned a first-leg deficit to beat Borussia Dortmund 4-3 on aggregate, thanks to a last-minute penalty.
