Snack World headed to Switch 2

Level‑5 announced a Snack World remake targeted to Nintendo Switch 2 (as well as PS5 and PC), positioning the project as a nearly new take rather than a straight remaster. (switch-actu.fr).

Level-5 has announced *Snack World: Reloaded*, a remake of its fantasy loot role-playing game for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Steam. (gematsu.com) The company unveiled the game during its LEVEL5 VISION 2026 showcase, which streamed on April 10, 2026. Level-5’s product page lists the same three platforms and identifies the project as an in-house Level-5 release. (level5.co.jp 1) (level5.co.jp 2) The remake is based on *Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold*, the Nintendo Switch version of the series, not directly on the original Nintendo 3DS release. Level-5’s English site says the new edition adds enhanced graphics, refined gameplay and controls, and a new mode centered on Chup, the anime’s main character. (gematsu.com) (snack-world.jp) *Snack World* started as a Level-5 cross-media project, with games, anime, and merchandise built around the same fantasy setting. The first *Snack World Trejarers* launched on Nintendo 3DS in Japan, and *The Dungeon Crawl – Gold* followed on Nintendo Switch. (level5.co.jp 1) (level5.co.jp 2) The new announcement puts one of Level-5’s quieter franchises into the company’s 2026 lineup for newer hardware. Level-5’s current catalog now shows multiple projects planned for Nintendo Switch 2, including *Professor Layton and the New World of Steam*, *Inazuma Eleven RE*, and *DECAPOLICE*. (level5.co.jp) The platform mix also marks a wider release strategy than the series had before. Earlier *Snack World* entries were tied to Nintendo systems, while *Reloaded* is slated for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and personal computer through Steam from day one. (level5.co.jp) (snack-world.jp) Level-5 has not announced a release date yet. For now, the company is selling *Reloaded* less as a straight visual touch-up than as a rebuilt version with new content, which is why the old series is back on the schedule at all.
