Construction Tech Startup Sensera Raises $27M

Sensera Systems, a company providing AI-powered jobsite intelligence for the construction industry, has secured a $27M Series B. The firm uses its camera systems to turn real-time visual data into actionable insights for project management.

The latest funding round was led by 10 Atlantic Group, with participation from existing investors Egis Capital Partners and MUUS Asset Management. 10 Atlantic Group focuses on commercial security and construction technology, aiming to partner with management teams to foster long-term strategic value. This Series B brings Sensera's total funding to $27M over two rounds, following a Series A round in August 2023. The capital is earmarked for accelerating the development of Sensera's AI strategy and expanding its market presence within the construction sector. The company, founded in 2013, provides rugged, solar-powered, and wirelessly connected cameras designed for construction environments. CEO Robert Garber leads the Denver-based firm. Sensera's core offering is its SiteCloud platform, which processes vast amounts of visual data from jobsites. The software leverages AI to deliver real-time insights directly to project managers' mobile devices, enhancing safety, security, and operational efficiency. The investment taps into a growing construction tech market, which is projected to grow significantly as the industry increasingly adopts digital tools. AI is being used across the sector to improve project scheduling, predict risks, reduce waste, and enhance safety. Sensera's platform integrates with other construction management software like Procore and Autodesk BIM 360, simplifying workflows for contractors. This allows for better collaboration among teams and provides visual documentation for dispute resolution and compliance.
