Entrepreneurs First Raises $200M

Entrepreneurs First (EF) secured $200M to invest in early-stage founders, focusing on international expansion, especially in India.

EF's portfolio companies are now valued at over $16 billion, a significant jump from $3 billion in 2021. This valuation reflects the success of their talent investing model, which focuses on individuals with potential, even without a concrete idea or team. The firm's strategy involves recruiting talent from top universities worldwide, including those in India, and guiding them through the process of finding co-founders and developing startup ideas. Successful teams receive pre-seed investment and often relocate to the Bay Area for further fundraising and scaling. EF's increased investment in India aims to boost the next generation of Indian tech giants. They provide access to capital, a global network of experts, and advisors to help founders scale their businesses. This includes increasing investment to $75,000 for each portfolio company and aiming to double the number of companies they invest in annually in India.
