New Hip-Hop and R&B Drops

Fresh releases are firing up playlists with Bruno Mars, Elmiene, Naomi Sharon, and GoGo Morrow leading new R&B drops. Hip-hop collabs include Blu x Exile, Boldy James x Rome Streetz, DJ Paul x Freddie Gibbs, and Tha Liks' Tash. Megan Thee Stallion's 'B.B.B' Remix is hitting Amazon charts at #1 (Explicit) and #15 (Clean) in Rap & Hip-Hop.

Bruno Mars's new nine-track album, *The Romantic*, is his first solo project in nearly a decade, following 2016's multi-Grammy-winning *24K Magic*. The lead single, "I Just Might," made a powerful debut, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. British-Sudanese singer Elmiene's debut album, *sounds for someone*, is scheduled for a March 27 release on Def Jam. The deeply personal project, which explores themes of love and loss related to his late father, includes features from Raphael Saadiq and Baby Rose, with production by Sampha and No I.D. OVO Sound artist Naomi Sharon's latest single, "Miss That," was produced by Jordan Ullman of Majid Jordan and samples the Chicago classic "If You Leave Me Now." The Dutch-Caribbean singer debuted the track during New York Fashion Week at a Telfar event in SoHo. Philadelphia native GoGo Morrow continues a planned trilogy with her new EP, *SET*, which was executive-produced by Grammy-winner Harmony "H Money" Samuels. Before her solo career, Morrow was a background vocalist for major artists like Lady Gaga and Kanye West. The collaboration between Detroit's Boldy James and Queens' Rome Streetz resulted in the 18-minute EP, *Manhunt*. Both artists are affiliated with Griselda Records, and this project dropped just two weeks after Boldy James's previous album, *Salvation For The Wicked*. The Megan Thee Stallion remix of "B.B.B." pairs her with New Orleans legend and Hot Boys co-founder, Juvenile. The collaboration was sparked after the original version went viral on social media, resonating heavily with millennial audiences. The "B.B.B." remix serves as a prelude to Juvenile's first new solo album in a decade, titled *Boiling Point*, which is slated for a March 26 release. To support the album, Juvenile has announced a tour spanning more than 60 dates across the U.S. and Canada. Memphis legend DJ Paul and Freddie Gibbs have connected for the gritty new single "Find Out," which blends Gibbs' sharp lyricism with Paul's classic Southern production style. The track comes ahead of a new album from DJ Paul, announced for a March 6th release.
