Santa Monica College networking event

Santa Monica College is set to host a hybrid business panel on April 23, followed by an in-person networking session for students seeking transfer and career contacts. The networking session follows from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the third-floor lounge of the Student Services Center. The college says students can also use the networking portion to ask questions, meet other business students, and connect with campus resources. (smc.edu) The event sits inside the college’s Transfer Center workshop program, which includes sessions on California State University applications, University of California transfers, private colleges, and business-focused panels. The workshop listing shows a “Business School Panel” among its Fall 2025 and ongoing transfer programming. (smc.edu) Santa Monica College promotes itself as the top transfer college to the University of California, the University of Southern California, and Loyola Marymount University for 35 years, and says it offers more than 200 degrees and certificates. The school also says it has led California community colleges in transfers for 30 years. Santa Monica College’s transfer resource page says California State University, Northridge enrolled more than 36,000 students in fall 2023, while California State University, Long Beach describes itself as a large urban campus in the 23-campus California State University system. Its events calendar also lists LinkedIn and networking workshops later this month and in May.
