Martin Fitzwater's Final Prep
Top Men's Open bodybuilder Martin Fitzwater shared his final chest workout on March 2, just three days before the 2026 Arnold Classic. The high-intensity, targeted session was designed to put final touches on his stage physique and offers inspiration for anyone looking to enhance upper body strength with elite-level training methods.
With a record-breaking $750,000 prize for the Men's Open winner, the 2026 Arnold Classic is the richest competition in the history of the sport. This significant purse is part of the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Arnold Sports Festival. Fitzwater is facing a stacked lineup of formidable opponents in Columbus. Among the top contenders are Hadi Choopan, the 2022 Mr. Olympia champion, and Andrew Jacked, who secured third place at the 2025 Mr. Olympia. Also in the mix is Nick Walker, known for his incredible muscle mass, and former Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry. Nicknamed "The Martian," Fitzwater had a breakout season in 2024, securing his first professional victory at the Detroit Pro. He then went on to place an impressive fourth in his debut at the prestigious Mr. Olympia contest. His momentum continued into 2025, where he successfully defended his title at the EVLS Prague Pro, notably defeating former Mr. Olympia Samson Dauda. Fitzwater also achieved a fifth-place finish at the 2025 Mr. Olympia, solidifying his position among the elite of the sport. Before his professional bodybuilding career, Fitzwater was a collegiate track and field athlete at the University of Wyoming, specializing in shot put and discus. He credits his "blue-collar" work ethic to his time working in construction, which he did to support his early bodybuilding ambitions.
