Before his illustrious NBA career, Kobe Bryant dominated at Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Wearing #33, he led the Aces to a state championship in 1996, becoming a national sensation. The "Lower Merion Aces" colorway pays tribute to these formative years. The Kobe 5 Protro "Lower Merion Aces Away" is a retro release of a beloved 2010 colorway. The shoe features Lower Merion's colors: Metallic Silver, Team Red, and White. The updated Protro version includes Kobe's high school jersey number, '33', embroidered on the heel. Nike's Kobe signature line began in 2006 with the Zoom Kobe 1. He wore the Kobe 1 when he scored his historic 81 points against the Toronto Raptors. The Kobe 5 was the shoe he wore when he won his fifth and final NBA championship in 2010 against the Boston Celtics. Solange Knowles is the face of the new Nike + Jacquemus Moon Shoe campaign. The Moon Shoe, originally created by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, has been reimagined by French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus. The new colorways include brown, sail, and a pale pink, reflecting Jacquemus' design aesthetic. The Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe blends Nike's running heritage with a modern ballet aesthetic. The shoe features a ruched nylon upper and a Nike Grind outsole. The brown and sail colorways of the Moon Shoe will launch March 16 on SNKRS and at select Nike retailers.
