Lil Uzi Album Coming
Lil Uzi Vert revealed in a recent interview that a new album is due out later this year. The announcement came alongside Lil Uzi's endorsement of rising artist 2slimey, signaling continued commitment to spotlighting fresh talent while preparing "real drops" for 2026.
This forthcoming album follows a prolific period for the rapper, who released *Pink Tape* in June 2023 and *Eternal Atake 2* on November 1, 2024. The latter album served as a sequel to the critically and commercially successful *Eternal Atake*, which dropped in 2020. Uzi's last two solo projects had contrasting receptions. *Pink Tape* debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, becoming the first rap album to top the chart in 2023. *Eternal Atake 2*, however, debuted at number three with 59,000 album-equivalent units, the lowest first-week sales of their career. Fans are familiar with long waits for Uzi's music, as both 2020's *Eternal Atake* and 2023's *Pink Tape* were teased for years before their eventual releases. *Eternal Atake* was first announced in 2018, while *Pink Tape* was first mentioned by Uzi in late 2020. The endorsed artist, 2slimey, is 20-year-old Sergio Garcia from Oklahoma City. He is known for an experimental style featuring distorted instrumentals and avant-garde rap cadences. 2slimey first gained viral traction in early 2024 with the song "shrimp," which took off on social media. He has since released a debut mixtape, *SsoMe*, and a 2025 studio album titled *High Anxiety*.
