Twisted Minds locked up the Pacific region’s only berth in Overwatch Champions Series Asia Stage 1 by winning Pacific Stage 1, the sub-region that sends one team onward. (liquipedia.net) Pacific Stage 1 began on March 26 and runs through April 30 as a six-team online tournament in Southeast Asia with a $7,000 prize pool. Its format is a round robin followed by a single-elimination playoff, and first place qualifies for Asia Stage 1 Championship. (liquipedia.net) Blizzard’s Stage 1 format splits Asia into Korea, Japan, and Pacific before combining them later. The top four teams from Korea, top three from Japan, and the top Pacific team advance to the Asia Stage 1 tournament. (overwatch.blizzard.com) That Asia event is the real gateway in Stage 1. Blizzard said the top two teams there will qualify for Champions Clash, the international live event scheduled for May 22 to May 24 in Tokyo. (overwatch.blizzard.com) The Pacific slot is smaller than the Korea and Japan allocations, which makes a regional win decisive. Liquipedia’s event page lists only one Asia Stage 1 Championship place for the Pacific champion, while Japan sends three and Korea sends four. (liquipedia.net 1) (liquipedia.net 2) (liquipedia.net 3) The result adds another 2026 marker for Twisted Minds, a Saudi organization that also won the Overwatch Champions Series Pre-Season Bootcamp on February 15. Liquipedia also lists Twisted Minds as the 2025 Overwatch Champions Series World Finals winner. (liquipedia.net 1) (liquipedia.net 2) Overwatch Champions Series is Blizzard’s open-format circuit that replaced the old franchise era with regional qualification and international events. Blizzard said the 2026 season keeps that structure, with regional playoffs feeding Champions Clash, Midseason Championship, and World Finals. (liquipedia.net) (overwatch.blizzard.com) For Twisted Minds, the immediate next step is no longer Pacific play but the Asia Stage 1 field, where one regional sweep now has to hold up against Korea and Japan for a Tokyo spot.
