Bali to kick off Cliff Diving season

Bali will host the launch of the 2026 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series — the series’ 17th season — and organisers are partnering with the Indonesian Navy to manage safety at dramatic coastal sites. That couples beach‑destination drama with a heavy dose of adventure tourism for 2026. (rri.co.id)

The Bali opener is scheduled for May 20–23, 2026, as the first round on the World Series calendar. (antaranews.com) Organisers will split the competition between Kroya Waterfall in Buleleng and the T‑Rex cliff at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida. (redbull.com) The field will comprise 24 athletes — 12 men and 12 women — drawn from the World Series roster. (issuu.com) Competitors announced to date include athletes from Australia, the United States, Canada, France, Romania and Mexico. (timesindonesia.co.id) Kroya will feature a World Series first: take‑off platforms mounted on trees above the waterfall rather than traditional rock or scaffolding. (redbull.com) Men will dive from roughly 27 metres and women from about 21 metres, with entries that can push speeds toward 85 km/h. (rsvpclique.com) The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) has been tapped for technical, operational and security support, and Navy Chief Laksamana TNI Dr. Muhammad Ali has met the Red Bull team during planning.
