High-Protein Meat Patties Launch

Crossover Meats launched new high-protein chicken and pork patties in collaboration with Chef Mareya, timing the debut with the premiere of *Next Level Chef* Season 5. The products target the growing demand for convenient, protein-rich meal solutions.

The new patties are enhanced with Chef Mareya's signature "Superfood Sprinkle," a blend of antioxidant-rich spices and adaptogenic ingredients designed to support energy, immunity, and focus. This aligns with her "Fit Foodie" brand, which focuses on functional nutrition through whole foods. Chef Mareya is a holistic nutritionist and author who has been featured on the Food Network and the Emmy-nominated show *Recipe Rehab*. Each 4-ounce (113g) Crossover Meats patty contains 20 grams of protein and 252 calories. For comparison, a typical 4-ounce cooked ground pork patty can have over 29 grams of protein but also packs around 336 calories. A standard 4-ounce unbreaded grilled chicken patty generally contains between 22 and 25 grams of protein. The launch taps into a significant and growing consumer trend. In 2025, reports indicated that 70% of Americans were actively trying to consume more protein, making it the most sought-after nutrient. Projections for 2026 show the high-protein food market is expected to grow from $61.47 billion to over $127 billion by 2035. Crossover Meats positions itself in the "smarter meat" category, aiming to provide a more sustainable option than traditional meat without moving to fully plant-based alternatives. The company's patented process involves blending chicken with meats like pork or beef, which it states can reduce the environmental footprint by up to 50% in terms of land and water use.
