Minnelli will celebrate her 80th birthday with a Carnegie Hall concert on June 25, titled "Liza! at 80: A Celebration in Song and Dance". The concert will feature a 30-piece orchestra and selections from her collaborations with John Kander and Fred Ebb. Attendees will receive a signed copy of her memoir. Seth Sikes will also host a tribute at 54 Below. The memoir also details a tense encounter with Lady Gaga at the 2022 Oscars, where Minnelli felt "humiliated". She claims Gaga dismissed her request to sit in a director's chair and insisted she be in a wheelchair. Minnelli says she never received an apology from Gaga.
