Slice House Pizza to Open in Fremont

The pizza chain Slice House will open a new location in Fremont's Pacific Commons Shopping Center. The expansion into the California city was announced by Fremont Mayor Raj Salwan.

- The founder of Slice House, Tony Gemignani, is a 13-time world pizza champion and was the first American and non-Neapolitan to win the World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy. - Gemignani, who is a Bay Area native, is also the owner of several other acclaimed pizza restaurants, including Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco's North Beach. - Slice House is in the midst of a significant national expansion, with over 140 franchise units either open or in development. - The fast-casual pizzeria is known for offering a variety of pizza styles by the slice, including New York, Sicilian, Detroit, and Grandma styles. - The national franchise program for Slice House was officially launched in July 2022 and has since signed multi-unit deals across several states, including California, Texas, Utah, and Colorado. - In 2024, Pizza Marketplace's Top 100 Movers & Shakers named Slice House the #1 Overall Brand. - The menu extends beyond pizza to include pastas, salads, and wings, with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. - Gemignani is also a Guinness World Record holder, an author of "The Pizza Bible," and the proprietor of the International School of Pizza.
