March Sneaker Drops Feature Supreme x Nike and New Jordans
Sneakerheads can look forward to several high-profile releases this month. A Supreme x Nike Air Max 2 CB 94 Low collaboration is dropping this week in three colorways. Later in the month, Jordan Brand will release the Air Jordan 3 “Spring is in the Air” on March 28.
The upcoming Supreme x Nike SB Air Max 2 CB '94 Low collaboration will be available globally on March 5th, with a subsequent release in Asia on March 7th. The collection features three distinct colorways: black, white/gum, and metallic gold/black. This release reworks a classic 90s basketball silhouette originally designed for NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley. The original Air Max2 CB 94 was known for its aggressive, straitjacket-inspired design and was one of Barkley's most recognizable signature sneakers. The Supreme version adapts the low-top model for skateboarding, incorporating premium leather and perforated reflective mesh underlays. The Air Jordan 3 “Spring is in the Air” is set to release with a retail price of $215. This new colorway draws inspiration from the Easter season, featuring a palette of Sail, Jade Aura, Iced Carmine, and Iris Whisper. The design incorporates a white leather upper with pastel-hued elephant print overlays and includes classic Nike Air branding on the heel. The Air Jordan 3 holds a significant place in sneaker history as the shoe that reportedly convinced Michael Jordan to remain with Nike. Legendary designer Tinker Hatfield took over the line for this model, introducing the now-iconic Jumpman logo on the tongue and the first-ever visible Air unit in a Jordan shoe. Hatfield's design for the Air Jordan 3 was revolutionary, featuring a mid-cut silhouette at Michael Jordan's specific request and introducing luxurious tumbled leather and elephant print to the basketball court. Jordan wore the "White Cement" colorway during his famous 1988 Slam Dunk Contest victory, forever cementing the shoe's legacy in basketball and fashion history.
