Kodeus Launches Marketplace for AI Agents

Developer tools company Kodeus has announced the launch of its Agent Marketplace. The platform aims to solve distribution challenges for developer tools like AI agents, workflows, and plugins. It enables developers to monetize their creations through discovery, usage tracking, and integrated payments.

- The founding team includes 'ili', a serial Web3 entrepreneur, Dr. Balaji, who holds a PhD in multi-agent systems and has previous experience at ISRO, and Surya, a three-time founder with a background in product strategy. - Kodeus is positioning itself as a key player in the emerging "Agent Economy," building what it calls an "Open Agentic Operating System" to address the challenges of automating complex workflows across various platforms like DAOs and DeFi. - The platform utilizes a Web3-native architecture where each AI agent is minted as an NFT, giving it a unique on-chain identity and execution history. - Monetization for developers is built into the core of the marketplace through the `$KODE` token, which is used for deploying agents, accessing premium tools, and all marketplace transactions. Developers earn `$KODE` tokens based on the usage of their agents and plugins. - The platform's architecture is designed to be modular, incorporating a "Model Context Protocol" (MCP) for discovering and integrating tools and APIs, and an "A2A Protocol" for inter-agent communication. - Prior to the marketplace launch, the Kodeus platform has already seen the creation of over 2,450 agents and has onboarded more than 350 developers. - Kodeus has a connection to the Indian startup ecosystem, having received a grant from 0G Labs at India Blockchain Week 2025 in Bangalore.
