Nine Inch Nails Sold-Out Tour
Nine Inch Nails performs tonight at Pechanga Arena San Diego as part of their sold-out "Peel It Back Tour". Tickets started at $89 for this high-demand industrial rock show. The tour underscores the band's continued popularity and reputation for immersive live performances.
The "Peel It Back Tour" takes its name from a lyric in the song "March of the Pigs." This tour marks Nine Inch Nails' first extensive run of live shows since 2022, kicking off in Dublin, Ireland, in June 2025 and is scheduled to conclude in Sacramento, California, in March 2026. The current touring lineup features Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, guitarist Robin Finck, and drummer Josh Freese. Bassist Stu Brooks joined the band for the 2026 leg of the tour, taking over for Alessandro Cortini. Previously, Ilan Rubin was on drums for the European leg before joining the Foo Fighters. The show's production is one of the band's most ambitious to date, conceived by Trent Reznor with creative director Todd Tourso. Instead of traditional LED screens, the production utilizes translucent fabrics, handheld cinematography, and layered projections to create an immersive, three-dimensional experience. The stage setup for headlining shows includes a main stage and a B-stage located in the middle of the arena floor, allowing for a more intimate performance of deep cuts and acoustic renditions. German electronic music producer Boys Noize is the opening act for all non-festival shows on the tour. The collaboration extends into the main set, where Boys Noize joins Nine Inch Nails on the B-stage for remixed versions of tracks like "Closer" and "Vessel." The setlist for the tour is a dynamic affair, often changing from night to night to include a mix of the band's biggest hits, rarities, and covers. Fans have been treated to songs not performed live in many years, such as "Non-Entity," alongside staples like "Hurt" and "Head Like a Hole." While off the road, band principals Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have been heavily involved in film scoring. The duo recently won a Grammy Award for their original song “As Alive As You Need Me To Be” from the 2025 film “TRON: Ares.” Their work also includes scores for films like "The Social Network" and "Challengers."
