Missing Hiker on Appalachian Trail

The missing hiker is 66-year-old Steven Stricker from St. Louis, Missouri. He was last heard from on March 5th and was reported missing on March 10th. Stricker is believed to be hiking in the Chattahoochee National Forest in northern Georgia. Search and rescue teams are focusing their efforts on a section of the Appalachian Trail near Woody Gap. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, along with other agencies, is assisting in the search. They are using ground crews and aviation support to cover the extensive search area.
