Westbrook Makes NBA History
Russell Westbrook logged his NBA-record 208th career triple-double with 23 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds as the Sacramento Kings beat the Chicago Bulls 126-110. The performance extends his all-time record that no other player has even come close to matching.
Westbrook's latest triple-double was his fourth of the 2025-26 season, further cementing a record he established nearly five years ago. He surpassed Oscar Robertson's long-standing mark of 181 career triple-doubles on May 10, 2021. Robertson's record had been in place for 47 years. The 37-year-old point guard is now one of the few players to be in the top 10 for triple-doubles for every franchise he has played for. This includes holding the franchise record for both the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Washington Wizards. This game marked a rare high point in a difficult season for the Sacramento Kings, who held a 14-50 record going into the matchup. The victory was only their third in the last 23 games. The Chicago Bulls have also had a challenging season, with a record of 26-37. While Westbrook reached a historic milestone, he wasn't the only player to record a triple-double in the game. Chicago's Josh Giddey also put up 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. For the Kings, Malik Monk was the game's leading scorer with 30 points, and rookie center Maxime Raynaud contributed a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
