DaVinci Resolve Update Anticipated
Blackmagic Design is expected to announce a major DaVinci Resolve update at NAB Las Vegas, potentially including AI set extension and generative tools video.
DaVinci Resolve 20 was unveiled at NAB Las Vegas with over 100 new features, many powered by AI. Blackmagic Design is showcasing these tools, emphasizing AI's lead in post-production advancements. AI IntelliScript generates timelines from text scripts, while AI Animated Subtitles animate words in sync with spoken audio. AI Multicam SmartSwitch automates camera switching using speaker detection, and the AI Audio Assistant analyzes timelines to create professional mixes. These features deepen AI integration into editing and finishing workflows. Beyond AI, Resolve 20 includes a new keyframe editor, voiceover recording palettes, expanded compositing in Fusion, and enhanced grading tools like Chroma Warp. DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 also introduces features for Apple Immersive Video, allowing editing, color grading, and mixing of Spatial Audio for Apple Vision Pro. Other AI-powered tools include AI Music Extender, which adjusts music length to match video, and AI Voice Convert, which applies voice models to recordings. AI Dialogue Matcher matches dialogue recorded in different environments. These tools aim to automate tedious tasks and free up editors for creative work.
