- According to the latest bracketology from February 24, teams on the NCAA Tournament bubble include Auburn, Santa Clara, VCU, and New Mexico as the "last four in," while USC, Ohio State, TCU, and Cal are the "first four out." Indiana also slipped out of the projected field after a recent loss. - Projections show the SEC leading all conferences with a potential 11 teams making the tournament, while the Big Ten is close behind with nine or potentially even 11 bids. The ACC is projected to have eight teams, and the Big 12 is projected for seven. - BYU's defense has struggled in Big 12 conference play, ranking 13th in defensive efficiency within the conference.
