Fremont Kicks Off Restaurant Week
Fremont's annual Restaurant Week is now underway, with 70 local eateries offering special meal deals. The event is designed to showcase the city's culinary scene and support local businesses.
This year marks the fourth iteration of the event, which runs from March 6th to March 15th. It has grown substantially from its initial 40 participating restaurants in 2023 to 70 local eateries this year. The event was originally launched by the City of Fremont's Economic Development Department as a way to help local restaurants recover from the economic effects of the pandemic. Following the inaugural event, a survey of participating restaurants showed that a majority experienced at least a 25% increase in revenue. Fremont Restaurant Week is a collaboration between the City of Fremont, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and Yelp Bay Area. This public-private partnership aims to boost the local economy by encouraging residents and visitors to explore the city's diverse dining options. In a new partnership for 2026, DoorDash is introducing its autonomous delivery robot, "Dot," which is manufactured in Fremont. The all-electric robot will begin its initial phase of chaperoned testing and community engagement during the event, with its first delivery scheduled for the kickoff. Diners can participate by trying special prix-fixe menus and limited-time items, with deals ranging from a $17 smash burger at Billy Roy's Burger Co. to a $98 multi-course tasting menu at SOHO Modern Japanese. A "restaurant passport" program encourages diners to visit multiple locations and submit their passports for a chance to win raffle prizes.
