Cognizant and Google Cloud Expand AI Partnership

Cognizant announced an expanded strategic partnership with Google Cloud to help enterprise clients operationalize generative AI technology. The collaboration will leverage Cognizant's AI builder tools and capabilities built on Google Cloud's platforms. The goal is to enable businesses to translate their AI strategies into deployed and governed systems at scale.

- This expanded partnership focuses on "agentic AI," which involves creating specialized AI agents that can collaborate to automate complex workflows and business processes. - Cognizant is deploying Google Workspace with Gemini Enterprise internally to enhance productivity for its own employees before offering a combined solution to clients. - As part of a previously announced $1 billion investment in generative AI over three years, Cognizant will train more than 70,000 associates on Google Cloud's AI offerings. - To support this initiative, Cognizant is establishing a dedicated Gemini Enterprise Center of Excellence and Gemini Studios in its Cloud AI Innovation hubs in London, Bangalore, and Plano, Texas. - The collaboration builds on a partnership that began in May 2023 and was expanded in August 2023 to create large language model solutions for the healthcare industry. - This is part of a broader strategy by Cognizant to form an ecosystem of AI partners, which includes recent collaborations with Microsoft, Pearson, and WRITER. - The goal is to move beyond AI pilots to create production-grade, governed systems using frameworks like Cognizant's Agent Development Lifecycle and tools like Agent Foundry. - The partnership also extends to enhancing customer service through AI-led contact center solutions, aiming to improve customer satisfaction and reduce operational costs.
