Bang & Olufsen used Milan Design Week to preview Beosound Haven, a stone-clad outdoor speaker concept developed with Italian surface specialist Antolini. (milandesignweek.org) The installation opened at Antolini MilanoDuomo in Milan on April 20 and runs through April 26, according to the event listing for Fuorisalone, the citywide program that overlaps with Milan Design Week. Bang & Olufsen said the concept was developed through its Atelier bespoke unit for outdoor living spaces. (milandesignweek.org) (bang-olufsen.com) Design Milk reported that Beosound Haven was shown cutting through slabs of Antolini’s mat-finish Taj Mahal quartzite inside a staged landscape with water, greenery, and stone surfaces. Domus said the companies framed the speaker as part of the architecture of a garden or terrace rather than as a standalone electronics product. (design-milk.com) (domusweb.it) The project arrives as luxury audio brands push further into interiors and custom installation work, where speakers are sold as materials and furnishings as much as hardware. Bang & Olufsen’s event page says the Haven concept extends its “architectural audio vision” outdoors and is aimed at architects and designers shaping exterior spaces. (milandesignweek.org) This is also the latest step in a partnership that started in 2025 and already produced a stone-based version of the Beosound Balance called Beosound Balance Natura. Bang & Olufsen said that model pairs a sculptural stone pedestal with aluminum detailing, and a limited collection of 13 made-to-order speakers was created for the launch. (domusweb.it) (bang-olufsen.com) Bang & Olufsen listed quartz and fossilized wood options for the Balance Natura, including Cristallo Iceberg, Cristallo Vitrum “Wow,” Cristallo Rosa “Wow,” and Retro Grey, Retro Brown, and Retro Fancyblack. The company said prices for that 13-piece collection are available on request. (bang-olufsen.com) For Haven, the companies have not published consumer pricing or a retail release date yet. Domus reported only that Bang & Olufsen plans to bring the product to market “in the coming months,” leaving Milan as an early look at how the brand wants outdoor sound to blend into high-end landscaping.
