Base Memecoin APRZ Presale Shows Strong Momentum
The Base network continues to see strong participation in memecoin launches, with the recent APRZ presale attracting significant capital. The presale's ninth stage sold nearly 12 billion tokens and raised $249,000 from over 1,189 holders. The velocity of participation indicates a robust risk appetite for new memecoins on the Base chain.
The APRZ token, built on the Ethereum network, has a total supply of 70 billion tokens. 50% of this supply is allocated to the presale, 20% to staking rewards, another 20% for liquidity and ecosystem development, 5% for community rewards, and 5% for the team. The project is structured as a 23-stage presale, designed to symbolize a journey to Mars, with the token price increasing at each stage to incentivize early participation. To create scarcity, the project has scheduled token burns to occur at stages 6, 12, 18, and 23 of the presale. These burns are intended to permanently remove unsold tokens from completed stages, reducing the circulating supply. Additionally, a staking system referred to as the "APE Yield Station" offers a 63% APY to holders, encouraging long-term holding and aiming to stabilize the token's price after its launch. The Base network has become a significant hub for memecoin launches, with its total value locked (TVL) reaching approximately $7 billion and supporting over 7 million users. The ecosystem is characterized by low transaction fees, averaging around $0.10, and a transaction throughput of about 31 transactions per second (TPS), which makes it an attractive environment for high-frequency trading of viral tokens. In the broader memecoin landscape, Base is increasingly seen as a competitor to Solana. While Solana has a more established infrastructure for rapid token launches through platforms like Pump.fun, this has also led to a higher incidence of "rug pulls." In contrast, Base is attracting projects with more structured, multi-stage presales like APRZ, which often include detailed roadmaps and tokenomics. This positions Base as a chain fostering potentially more sustainable, albeit still high-risk, memecoin projects.
